Tick Tock Tick Tock

One thing I (already) knew about my son, that he is a smart boy.

Last Saturday, it was my first time to attend pregnancy exercises class. A lil bit too late, but better than never.

Beside doing the exercises, we are also given some knowledges about birth preparation. The class was hosted by a friendly and senior midwife in the hospital, her name is Ibu Anda.

When the class over, Ibu Anda will be checking our baby's heartbeat. When it was my turn, she slightly pressed bottom part of my belly and said, "Wah, kepala bayinya udah masuk bawah panggul, nih." I smiled widely, because I knew this baby has been consistently "down" there since one month ago (before 36 weeks). And then, Ibu Anda checked the baby's heartbeat, and I can hear it too from the device that she used. Ibu Anda immediately smiled when we heard the heartbeat and said, "Wah... bagus yah detak jantungnya...". And again... I smiled even widely this time and telling my son in heart, "You're totally a good boy, son."

Right now, I'm feeling super nervous about my labor time, which is coming very soon (and it could be happened anytime now), but the other side I'm feeling super excited too about meeting my baby.

I found this verse in Bible and it calms me every time I feel overwhelmed with the labor thoughts.

As Ibu Anda said about giving birth, once you hold your baby in your arms, it's an irreplaceable joy. And I wanna experience that (:

"A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world." (John 16:21 - NKJV)
